Correct use method and model selection of high-voltage busbar heat shrink tubing
High-voltage heat-shrinkable tubes refer to very high voltage resistance. Usually high-voltage heat-shrinkable tubes have three voltage levels: 10KV, 20KV, and 35KV. High-voltage heat-shrinkable tubes are very different from ordinary heat-shrinkable tubes because they need to prevent high-voltage breakdown. Therefore, the wall thickness is very thick and relatively hard, so you will encounter many different problems during use, but as long as you master the correct use method, the problems will be solved.
1. The first is the selection of the model. Select the busbar heat shrinkable tube with the corresponding voltage according to the busbar voltage. Generally, busbars are rectangular with a thickness of 8mm or 10mm, and busbar heat shrinkable tubes are named according to diameter, so I don’t know how to choose. I will teach you the simplest method. Use whatever diameter the busbar has. Busbar heat shrink tubing. Here is a conversion formula for you, busbar circumference/3.14=diameter, the selected busbar heat shrink tube should be slightly larger than the converted diameter. For example, for a busbar that is 30mm wide and 10mm thick, convert it through the formula (30+10)*2/3.14=25mm. Here, you can choose a busbar heat shrink tube with a diameter of 30mm. Basically, the diameter depends on the width of the busbar. The busbar heat shrink tubing meets the specifications.
2. After selecting the specifications of the busbar heat shrinkable tube, it is time to choose the color, because the busbar needs to be distinguished by color. The busbar heat shrinkable tube is generally red, yellow, green, blue, and black. High-voltage busbar heat shrinkable tubes are often used in three colors: red, yellow, and green.
3. Cut a piece of busbar heat shrink tube suitable for the length of the busbar. The length depends on the busbar covering length, and put it on the corresponding position on the busbar.
4. Heat and shrink the busbar heat-shrinkable tube so that the busbar heat-shrinkable tube fits tightly on the busbar; the busbar heat-shrinkable tube needs to shrink from one end to the other end. This can ensure that the air inside is drained cleanly and the busbar heat-shrinkable tube is The position of the exhaust heat shrink tube is accurate. The temperature of the shrinkable busbar heat shrinkable tube needs to be adjusted to 240°C. The thicker the busbar heat shrinkable tube, the higher the heating temperature needs to be. Especially thick busbar heat shrinkable tubes can be heated and shrunk more quickly using a flame spray gun. Busbar manufacturers generally use ovens for mass production, which has high production efficiency and relatively uniform shrinkage.
5. After shrinking, you need to use a round rod to press the corners to discharge the air inside. This will make the busbar heat shrinkable tube fit more closely with the busbar, which is more conducive to improving safety and reliability.
When the busbar heat shrinkable tube is difficult to insert at right angles, you can apply a little silicone oil on the busbar to lubricate it, making it easier to put on the busbar heat shrinkable tube, and shrinking will not easily leave wrinkles. Busbar heat shrinkable tubes are usually used for high-voltage electrical insulation, that is, the outer insulation protection of busbar copper bars. Depending on the voltage level, 10KV, 20KV or 35KV can be selected. When using busbar heat shrink tubing, you should pay attention to the selection of model specifications, color matching, shrinkage process and pressing out the air.
