Double-walled glued heat shrinkable tubing and mid-wall glued heat shrinkable tubing are both glued heat-shrinkable tubing, but their production processes are different, which leads to many differences. The following is a detailed introduction to double-walled glued heat shrinkable tubing. The difference between tube and heat shrinkable tube with medium wall glue.

1. The hot melt adhesive layer is formed in different ways. The hot melt adhesive for double-walled heat shrinkable tubes with adhesives is co-extruded with the outer layer; the hot melt adhesive for mid-wall heat shrinkable tubes with adhesives is usually post-glued. The methods are divided into direct coating and spiral coating.

On the left, the co-extruded double-wall heat shrink tube has a smooth inner wall, and on the right, the rubberized mid-wall heat shrink tube has a post-coated hot melt adhesive strip on the inner wall.

Glued double-wall heat shrinkable tubes generally have smaller diameters and softer walls, so glue application equipment cannot enter the tubes, so they are suitable for co-extrusion production. Glued mid-wall heat shrinkable tubes have larger diameters and harder tube walls, so they are suitable for glue application. Craftsmanship.

2. Different thicknesses. The thickness of glued double-wall heat shrinkable tubes varies from 0.4 to 0.8mm according to diameter; the thickness of glued mid-wall heat shrinkable tubes is generally 1.0±0.1mm.

The difference in wall thickness after shrinkage is even greater. The wall thickness of the double-wall heat shrinkable tube with glue is in the range of 0.9 to 2.0mm after shrinkage, and it still has bending flexibility after shrinkage; the wall thickness of the glued mid-wall heat shrinkable tube after shrinkage is 2.5 to 4.0mm. After shrinking, it becomes hard and cannot be bent.

3. In terms of diameter, the minimum diameter of the glued double-wall heat shrinkable tube is φ1.6mm and the maximum diameter is 50mm. If customized by the manufacturer, the maximum diameter can be 100mm. The minimum size of the glue-coated mid-wall heat shrinkable tube is 22mm, and the maximum size can be 230mm.

4. In terms of flame retardancy, the glued double-wall heat shrinkable tubes are flame retardant in all colors except transparent; the conventional products of the glued mid-wall heat shrinkable tubes are non-flame retardant, and can be customized if there are flame retardant requirements.

5. In terms of color, adhesive double-walled heat shrinkable tubes are often used in the electronic field and occasionally need to adapt to the color of cables, so they are available in a variety of colors (red, yellow, blue, green, white, orange, gray, black ) optional. Glued mid-wall heat shrink tubing is generally used for outer protection of small-diameter pipes, outer sheathing of cable joints, and to enhance mechanical wear resistance. It has a relatively single purpose, so conventional products are black, and other colors need to be customized.

The main differences between double-wall adhesive heat shrink tubing and mid-wall adhesive heat shrink tubing are the different hot melt adhesive formation methods, different wall thicknesses, different diameters, colors, etc.
