For metal parts, the longitudinal shrinkage will be more obvious. If it is a particularly precise part, you need to leave a certain margin when cutting the adhesive heat shrink tube. That is to say, if you need to wrap a 100mm long part, you need to cut 105mm. length.

Thick-walled heat-shrinkable tubing with glue has a larger diameter and a wall thickness of about 1.2-1.4mm.
